Les origines du nom de RIM (computer music designer; musical assistant): article available online

My article “Les origines du nom de RIM (Réalisateur en informatique musicale)”, is now available online.

The paper traces the historical evolution of this practice at Ircam in Paris. It considers this evolution throughout the transformations of the name, from the ’70s up to the present day: scientifique (ingénieur / chercheur) ; tuteur ; assistant / tuteur ; assistant musical ; Réalisateur en informatique musicale .
